REQUEST FOR LOANS

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL REQUESTS
For national or international loan requests, please contact Jeanne Rivoire, Administrative and Documentary Registrar/Collection: j.rivoire@i-ac.eu - +33 4 78 03 47 73.
Projects are highlighted on the IAC website under the section "The Collection on Loan in France or Internationally."
Loan requests should be submitted via email (or postal mail) at least 4 to 6 months before the exhibition opening.
Please note: For any works leaving the country, an administrative lead time of six weeks is required before the works can be dispatched.
Loan requests should include:
- The exhibition project's concept note and curatorial details
- The exhibition title
- Venue and dates of the exhibition
IAC ARTWORK LOAN COMMITTEE
The IAC Loan Committee meets monthly and communicates the deliberation results via email.
In the event of a positive response, it will be accompanied by:
A loan agreement, which may include a request for coverage of the following costs:
- Restoration, framing, technical equipment, or consumables
- Billing for copies of films or videos
- Packaging, insurance, and transportation
- Couriers
- Administrative fees for making the works available
In the event of a negative response, an email will be sent to the requester following the deliberations.
EXAMINATION OF REQUESTS
The loan Committee meets regularly and sends its decisions by letter.
If the reply is affirmative, the latter will be accompanied by:
- a loan agreement,
- in some cases, a request for the following costs to be paid:
- restoration, framing, technical equipment or consumables,
- the invoicing of copies of films and videos,
- packing, insurance and transport,
- escorting,
- administrative costs.
If the reply is negative, the person who made the request is informed by letter.
REQUEST FOR REPRODUCTION (PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEO FILM)
Request for permission to reproduce works must be sent by letter or by e-mail to Jeanne Rivoire, Collection Manager
The following points must be specified in the request:
- dates of publication, titles, place and number of copies (for books) and the route of the event,
- the type of publication: French/foreign publication, private use, audiovisual, etc.
- a list of works, including the names of the artists, the title of the work and the inventory number.
N.B. Any reproduction of a work that is not out of copyright must be the subject of a request for permission from the copyright holder/s (copyright organisation for authors or artists).
