Le tarot de Marseille de Jimmy Beauquesne / But Tomorrow Never Came

Jimmy Beauquesne was inspired by the traditional archetypes of the Tarot de Marseille. Passionate about American pop music since his teens, he chose to replace each traditional tarot figure with a star whose background, story and values embody the tarot's original symbols. But Tomorrow Never Came is a contemporary variation on the Tarot de Marseille, questioning the representation of icons in pop culture and exploring our complex relationship with the familiar yet inaccessible figures that populate our collective imagination.
Production of the cards was launched as part of the exhibition in the hours between dawns.
