Students from Lyon's Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts offer a varied program throughout the evening, rethinking the history of the museum and its collections through performances, installations and works created in situ. From the objets d'art to the medallions, from the painting galleries to the garden, eight projects are presented by the students.
On the program: video projection in the chapel of performances taking place simultaneously in the 19th-century painting galleries, an evolving installation in the museum's Baroque refectory, projection in the garden of a work by ORLAN created in 1979 for the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, practice in the galleries with an artist creating a continuous work in front of Hippolyte Flandrin's Pietà, video projection in the Egyptian antiquities collections.
For the 10th year running, the museum joins forces with a higher education establishment in the Lyon metropolitan area as part of the European Museum Night.
