The “Vivants piliers” exhibition pays tribute to these two major sculptors of contemporary art, who were also very close throughout their careers.

Bernard Pagès is a French sculptor born in Cahors, Lot, in 1940. He took part in the Supports/Surfaces adventure in 1967. In 1983, the Centre Pompidou held an exhibition of his stone and masonry columns. Toni Grand, who died in 2005, represented France at the 1982 Venice Biennale with five double “columns”, one of which will be shown in the exhibition.
