Galeries Nomades – Editorial by Fabrice PANNEKOUCKE
"In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, we are the heirs to an exceptional artistic and cultural legacy. This heritage gives us a great responsibility: to preserve and pass it on. This is the whole point of the support we have been giving to artists and cultural venues in our region since 2016, under the impetus of Laurent Wauquiez. They do essential work to promote the vitality of our territories. By enabling young artists to benefit from creative support, the Galeries Nomades are fully in line with this dynamic of offering the public the opportunity to discover emerging talent in the heart of our two Savoie regions.
Enjoy the exhibition, everyone!"

Since 2007, every two years, the Galeries Nomades program—supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region—offers artists from the five regional art schools (Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble/Valence, Lyon, Saint-Étienne) the opportunity to receive support for the production of artworks and the organization of their first solo exhibition, in partnership with creation and exhibition venues across the region.
In 2025, Galeries Nomades will take place in the Savoie Mont Blanc area, at the Maison forte de Hautetour in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and at the CURIOX, Centre d’art et de rencontres in Ugine, both members of the Altitudes Network – Contemporary Art in Alpine Regions.
Before the exhibitions, each artist is hosted in a live-in studio at Moly-Sabata/Albert Gleizes Foundation to prepare their project.
An issue of Semaine, a weekly contemporary art magazine published by Immédiats, will be dedicated to the four exhibitions and released in November 2025.
The IAC Friends, committed to supporting emerging artists, also back the Galeries Nomades program.
Galeries Nomades serves several core goals of the IAC: to provide long-term support for artists’ research and production, to offer guidance, to help them integrate into the contemporary art network, and to contribute to their professional development. In this way, Galeries Nomades plays an active role in fostering artistic creation across the regional territory.
