The Galeries Nomades program, initiated by the IAC in 2007, takes place in odd-numbered years to support the production and conception of exhibitions or monographic projects by artists who graduated one to two years prior from one of the five art schools in the region.

The curation is managed by the IAC in close collaboration with its partners. Exchanges are fostered through the artists’ six-week production residency at the Fondation Albert Gleizes in Moly-Sabata. The exhibitions will take place in 2025 at two sites: the Centre d’art et de rencontres CURIOX in Ugine, Savoie, and the Maison Forte de Haute Tour in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie.

The Friends of the IAC association supports this program by awarding a grant and contributing to the financing of the Galeries Nomades Voyage.

Preceding the exhibition period, each artist will reside for six weeks at Moly-Sabata between March 4 and May 24, 2025:
Moly-Sabata is an artist residency offering its studios and resources year-round. It stands out for its invitation-based admissions, its network-driven actions, and its initiatives supporting the production of artworks. Its public outreach includes an annual exhibition while maintaining a tradition of transmission rooted in this hospitable site since 1927, under the stewardship of the Fondation Albert Gleizes.

The Ministry of Culture – DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, the Isère Department, and the Entre Bièvre et Rhône Community of Municipalities support the Fondation Albert Gleizes and its artist residency program at Moly-Sabata. Moly-Sabata also receives support from the Fondation de l’Olivier, housed within the Fondation Bullukian.

Following the exhibitions, authors are invited to write texts on each exhibition, which will be published in Semaine:
Semaine: Weekly Magazine for Contemporary Art
Each issue of Semaine offers its readers sixteen pages dedicated to contemporary art, centered around current events. The collection provides an evolving perspective on art in the making, developed and conceived in collaboration with today’s art actors: artists primarily, but also curators, art critics, art historians, and public and private organizations. Through each issue, Semaine reveals the breadth and diversity of the artistic landscape in France.
Nearly 450 issues of Semaine have been published since 2004, all available in print upon request. Since 2021, Semaine has also offered free access to articles online.
