This summer, the Institut d’art contemporain is dividing its space to host the first solo exhibitions in Europe of artists CHANG Yung-Ta and LI Yi-Fan.
These exhibitions offer an immersion into innovative artistic practices that each, in their own way, use the technological means of our time to push the boundaries of perception.

On one side, Last Warning brings together LI Yi-Fan’s latest video installations, created through a radically DIY approach. By adapting game engines to suit his needs, the artist develops his works through constant experimentation with the machine, making each project a long and meticulous process. The exhibition offers both a glimpse into a practice in perpetual transformation—always ahead of its own obsolescence—and a reflection on our relationship with the virtual world, navigating between fascination, saturation, and disorientation.
On the other side, Echoes of Silence invites contemplation of the subtle variations that shape our environment. At once artworks and instruments, CHANG Yung-Ta’s installations transform data from natural phenomena into sound and visual compositions. Echoes of Silence presents works inherently shaped by randomness and accident, opening a reflection on the use of technology as a tool for knowledge and creation.
