Horizons sensibles, 21/03/2025 to 08/06/2025, Fondation Renaud, Lyon, France
To celebrate spring, the Fondation Renaud is inviting visitors to take a stroll through an exhibition dedicated to landscape. Much more than a simple juxtaposition of paintings, this new exhibition offers a sensory journey through the eyes of artists who, throughout the history of art, have explored and redefined their relationship with their environment.
Landscape, a reflection of history and memory
This exhibition also invites us to reflect on the evolution of the landscape as an intimate expression of artists. Landscapes have always served as a means of conveying not only their visions of nature, but also their emotions, memories and perceptions of the world. Visitors will be able to discover how, over time, artists have used painting, sculpture, photography and installations to explore their complex relationship with nature and history.
An experience through time
The exhibition goes beyond the realistic representations of the 19th century by incorporating modern and abstract experiments from the 20th century, as well as new artistic media such as photography, sound works and contemporary drawing. It also highlights contemporary artists in dialogue with works from the Fondation Renaud's collections, creating a dynamic encounter between past and present.
A sensory and emotional exploration of the landscape
Throughout the exhibition, a series of sensory devices will give visitors the opportunity to experience the landscape in a new and immersive way. These playful, sensory installations will allow you to experience art to the full, while immersing you in the emotion and vision of the artists.
