Le temps d'un rêve, 18/10/2024 to 24/08/2025, Musée des Confluences, Lyon, France
Human beings spend a third of their lives asleep and a good part of that time dreaming. Yet the nature of dreams seems to be constantly eluding us. In an attempt to define the phenomenon of dreaming, the exhibition offers a series of stopovers in the places where dreams have been expressed in different cultures since Antiquity.
From Greek incubation temples to neuroscience laboratories, from the psychoanalyst's couch to the artist's imagination, from one continent to the next, Le temps d'un rêve invites a multiplicity of viewpoints to lift the veil on the dream ‘mystery’.
