BORN IN 1999 IN AUXERRE
LIVES AND WORKS IN LOZÈRE
A graduate of the École Supérieure d’Art d’Annecy Alpes, Laurine Habert is a visual artist and photographer. Her work focuses on life in rural environments—everyday life, village festivals, food systems, the value of agricultural labor, and contemporary issues. In her recent projects, she explores the role of women and gender minorities—farmers, agricultural workers, producers—within the territory where she lives.
Through photography, writing, sound, and installation, she highlights the various professions and the individuals who embody them. To document these realities, she takes an active part in the daily lives of her subjects, learning their trades and assisting them in their everyday tasks. Through a committed, artistic, documentary, and poetic approach, the artist invites us to reflect on the conditions of those who produce our food and care for the living world in today’s society.
