Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda directed by Stephen Nomura Schible
♥ A film recommended by artist CHANG Yung-Ta
Considered one of the most important artists of our time, Ryuichi Sakamoto had a prolific career spanning nearly four decades. He began as a young Japanese techno-pop star and later became an Oscar-winning and internationally acclaimed composer. The evolution of his music has coincided with the developments in his life. After Fukushima, Sakamoto became an emblematic figure in the Japanese movement against nuclear energy. As he returns to his musical career after battling cancer, his acute awareness of life's crises leads to a new musical masterpiece. Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda is an intimate portrait of an artist and a man.
