Carte blanche à LYL Radio

Les ateliers d'été de Pratiques cosmomorphes

Launched in the summer of 2023, the summer workshops provide opportunities for meetings and shared experiences around artworks and artistic practices. This year, they offer a chance to delve deeper into the themes addressed by the exhibition "Pratiques cosmomorphes – (Ré)générer le vivant"

FRIDAY, JUNE 21ST, FROM 6 PM TO 10 PM

→ Launch: Free rein to LYL Radio
Featuring live performances by Helen Island and Adiciatz, as well as a DJ set by Nika Noss.

To kick off the season with a festive moment, the IAC has given carte blanche to LYL Radio to animate the launch of the summer workshops during the Fête de la Musique.

"The webradio is delighted to present a program specially prepared for the venue, featuring a unique live performance by the alternative pop artist Helen Island, recently released on the Dutch label Knekelhuis, as well as a new performance by the Lyon-based duo Adiciatz composed of Guillaume (Pilotwings, Jonquera...) and Manon (DJ Scar) for an hour of live singing and psych-trad percussion. Finally, local DJ Nika Noss will provide a tailor-made opening and closing set blending hyper and electro pop."

The evening will also be accompanied by beers from Brasserie de l’Amour.

→ Free entry

LYL RADIO

LYL is a cultural project that has chosen music as its main ethos or paradigm. Our goal is to suggest a comprehensive understanding of the world and its cultures through the promotion and exploration of sound. The webradio was created for this purpose, and therefore brings together activists, record store owners, label founders, DJs, musicians, specialists, geeks, weirdos, and enthusiasts, all of whom continue to expand the scope of our project with daily broadcasts produced either in our three studios, here and there around the world, or in special locations.

LYL has been operating in Lyon since 2015 from Les Ateliers SUMO and opened a second outlet in Paris in November 2016 (now located at La Caboteuse), followed by Brussels in 2020 and Marseille in 2021. The native Lyon studio is now located at Bistrot Senior, a restaurant opened by the creator of LYL, in the heart of the French city, while LYL Brussels flows from La Brasserie Atlas, and SOMA now hosts our studio in Marseille. Through these studios and a large number of international contributors, LYL presents live shows (over 200 regular shows as well as guest shows and special programs), organizes various events (concerts, club nights, exhibitions, conferences, and more), and collaborates with different entities interested in arts and music.

Currently, the webradio broadcasts live programs from Tuesday to Friday from 12 PM to 12 PM (Paris time), and beyond this schedule for special occasions.

LYL is a self-financed entity, without sponsors or subsidies, thriving thanks to its many dedicated volunteers and contributors. We believe DIY is the way forward when it comes to music. So we want to thank them all from the bottom of our hearts, our hosts, past and present, occasional and permanent, our volunteers, our graphic designers, our webmasters, our programmers, and, of course, our listeners!
