PROJETER LA MÉDITERRANÉE

On the proposal of Joerg Bader, Director of the Centre de la Photographie, Geneva.
In presence of the artists Sébastien Leseigneur and Marco Poloni.

In order to end the festival Rencontres 9ph devoted this year to the theme Mediterranean, the IAC invites Joerg Bader, Director of the Centre de la Photographie, Geneva, designing a projection that shows Mediterranean throught three angles.

DESERTED ISLANDS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

Inspired by Gilles Deleuze's text L'île déserte et autres textes (2002, texts and interviews of the philosopher, 1953-1974), this research project uses photography, drawing, digital audio and video to evoke some 200 uninhabited islands in the Mediterranean.

Sébastien Leseigneur presents a project, which directly or indirectly refers to the word Mediterranean. His work will be shown at the Centre de la Photographie, Genève in the second semester of 2013.

MARCO POLONI, DISPLACEMENT ISLAND

Displacement island is a photographic work conducted in 2005 by Marco Poloni on the island of Lampedusa, the entrance point for many immigrants in Europe. He uses photography press, shooting from NASA, or memories images from family albums, recorded in the book of the same title.
