TNP / Journées langagières

Throughout the Journées Langagières season, the TNP (Théatre National Populaire) organises special events during which poets, actors, singers and other word fanatics express their pleasure in language. Les Journées Langagières work with the Institut d’art contemporain with the 'invitation' to each event of a work from the IAC collection that is in tune with the writings of the poets. This unusual if not fortuitous meeting between writers' work and contemporary art is continued in 2007.
To start the Langagières evenings, TNP actors read—at the Institute—extracts from the major twentieth century manifestos on the plastic and visual arts—that is to say seminal, caustic writings.
