The collection of the IAC, closely linked with in situ exhibitions, consists in more than 1,700 works from national and international artists, part of the largest public collections in France. First under the Fonds régional d’art contemporain (FRAC) Rhône-Alpes and then, under the IAC’s authority, the collection includes works from major artists of our time (Daniel Buren, Jimmie Durham, Dan Graham, Anish Kapoor, On Kawara, Richard Long, Mario Merz, Gerhard Richter, Martha Rosler, Jeff Wall, Lawrence Weiner…) and by up-and-coming artists (Alain Bublex, Ulla von Brandenburg, Pierre Huyghe, Ann Veronica Janssens, Joachim Koester, Anri Sala, Carey Young...). Additions in the collection are closely linked with in situ exhibitions.
